Putting On Mascara in the Trenches: A Makeup Tutorial for the Tired Mama Soul

Today I did something I haven’t done in a while:I sat down, looked in the mirror, and picked up my makeup bag—not because I had somewhere to be, but because I just needed to feel a little more me.
I filmed it, too. Not because I’m a beauty guru (spoiler alert: I’m not), but because I needed to remember that it’s okay to show up in the hard seasons. To show up tired. To show up messy. To show up real.
This makeup tutorial isn’t just about bronzer and mascara. It’s about trying to find a little light in the chaos.About choosing to take care of myself—even when the house is loud, the laundry is high, and my heart feels a little heavy.
I talk about that in the video—how sometimes, when we’re deep in the trenches of motherhood, we forget who we are outside of being a mom. We pour ourselves out until there’s barely anything left to give.
And I know I’m not the only one.
So if you’re feeling worn down, if you’ve been putting yourself on the back burner, if you’re just trying to make it through the day with a little bit of grace and caffeine—this one’s for you.
Click the video below to watch the tutorial. Not just for the makeup (though it’s a super easy everyday look!), but for the real talk and encouragement too.
Let this be your reminder:You are worth the five minutes. You are allowed to feel beautiful. You are doing amazing, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Sending you love, mascara smudges, and a whole lotta grace. You’ve got this, mama.
